Lil Win slapped with new fine as court denies his request to halt GH₵5m suit

Court Dismisses Lil Win's Request to Halt Martha Ankomah's Suit

Lil Win's request to stop Martha Ankomah's defamation suit has been denied. The court ordered him to pay a fine of GH₵5,000.

The update was reported by GhOneTV on June 2. Lil Win argued that the case should be heard in Kumasi, not Accra. His lawyers claimed this was an important legal issue.

They stated that continuing the case in Accra could make the Court of Appeal’s decision irrelevant. They believed their appeal had a good chance of success.

Martha Ankomah’s lawyer opposed Lil Win’s request. He accused Lil Win of showing disrespect to the court throughout the proceedings. He noted that venue issues do not affect the court's jurisdiction.

After hearing both sides, Justice Forson Baah Agyapong rejected Lil Win's application. He imposed a GH₵5,000 cost against Lil Win in favor of Martha Ankomah.

The case is now scheduled for July 9, according to Murtala Inusah from EIB Network.

In related news, Lil Win is fundraising for his upcoming movie, *The Last African Hero*. He is seeking local channels to buy the movie rights for GH₵100,000 each before its premiere on YouTube.
