Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Lilwin has faced a shocking disruption. This has forced him to stop production on his Ibrahim Traoré biopic.
Chaos erupted at the filming location. About ten unidentified young men arrived on motorbikes. They demanded that the entire shoot be shut down.
Lilwin said, “We tried to reason with them.” However, things quickly escalated. The men damaged equipment and harmed property.
The production site costs GHC 15,000 per day to rent. The landlord became uneasy about the situation. He told Lilwin's team to stop and leave.
Lilwin expressed concern about the unknown men. “I don’t know who sent them or why,” he lamented.
During the tension, Lilwin contacted the Ashanti Regional Minister for support. Interestingly, the group fled as soon as he made the call.
Despite this setback, Lilwin remains determined to finish his film. “I’ve already reached the climax of the movie,” he stated. He plans to release it even if shooting cannot continue right now.
