Lord Kenya sees himself in King Paluta, but sets one condition for collaboration

Former rap star Lord Kenya is now an evangelist. He admires rising Ghanaian rapper King Paluta. Lord Kenya says Paluta reminds him of his early days in music.

In an interview on Kessben FM, he noted the connection between them. “One rising new artiste I see myself in is King Paluta,” he said. “If you listen to his flow, it is much like my younger self.”

Lord Kenya left secular music over a decade ago. He dedicated his life to Christianity but still values his musical talent. He mentioned that any collaboration must align with his spiritual journey.

“I have not stopped doing music because it is a talent God has given me,” he explained. “I will consider doing a track with King Paluta. But first, he has to take Christ as his personal savior.”

Lord Kenya was born Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo Kainya. He rose to fame in the late 1990s as a Hiplife artist. His hits include “Sika Card” and “Sika Baa.”

He became known for energetic performances and lyrical skill, making him a household name in Ghana’s music scene.

Originally from Kumasi, he attended various schools and showed early talent in athletics and music. His family hoped he would study law, but his passion for music led to success.

He earned awards like Hiplife Album of the Year and gained international recognition. In 2010, at the peak of his fame, Lord Kenya had a spiritual transformation.

He gave his life to Christ and abandoned secular music. Now, as a born-again Christian and evangelist, he preaches the gospel and shares his story of redemption and purpose.
