Ghanaian rapper M.anifest explained that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lost the December 7, 2024 election due to public dissatisfaction with governance.
Speaking on BBC's Newsday, he noted that citizens felt the country was being mismanaged, leading to accountability demands.
While the Electoral Commission has not officially declared results, provisional figures favor the NDC's John Mahama, with the NPP’s Dr. Bawumia conceding defeat.
M.anifest highlighted growing youth activism, citing protests against issues like illegal mining and unemployment.
He emphasized that Ghanaians, especially the youth, are pushing for continuous accountability beyond election cycles, driven by a sense of urgency and frustration with leadership failures.
