MTN Ghana CFO Antoinette Kwofie reveals British actor Papa Isiadou is her half-brother

In a recent interview with MyNewsGh, Antoinette Kwofie shared a personal detail. She is the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of MTN Ghana (Scancom PLC). Kwofie revealed that British actor Papa Isiadou is her half-brother. Isiadou recently appeared in the Harry Potter franchise.

When asked if having a brother influenced her journey, Kwofie replied, “Maybe, possibly would have.” She mentioned she has half-brothers on her father's side. One of them is a well-known actor in the UK.

Her interviewer, Lexis Bill, was surprised and responded enthusiastically. He said, “Wow, that’s awesome.” Despite having half-brothers, Kwofie did not grow up with them. This absence significantly shaped her upbringing.

Kwofie explained their childhood experience: “We learned to be boys.” She added there were no gender-specific jobs for them. They did everything together without restrictions.

Papa Isiadou is a British-Ghanaian actor making waves in the UK film industry. His breakthrough role came in 2020 with BBC's I May Destroy You. This role earned him nominations for an Emmy Award and a BAFTA.

In 2021, he played George Boleyn in Channel 5's Anne Boleyn drama. He also starred in AMC+ series Gangs of London from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, he appeared in The Lazarus Project (2020–2023) and Black Mirror: Demon 79 (2023).

His role in the Harry Potter universe marks a significant career milestone. It highlights his place among new African talents entering major productions. While details about his Harry Potter role are limited, Isiadou’s reputation continues to grow as African representation expands in film and television.
