Renowned Tamale-based rapper Maccasio has delayed the release of his much-anticipated single, "MANI," in a gesture of respect following the untimely death of fellow artist Lazzybwoy.
The single was initially set to drop on Saturday, but the postponement came after Lazzybwoy's passing on Friday due to kidney failure.
In a heartfelt chat, Maccasio expressed deep grief over the loss, describing Lazzybwoy as a pivotal figure in the music industry.
He praised the late artist's contributions, emphasizing they would never be forgotten.
"Lazzybwoy was a talent who brought so much to our community," Maccasio noted. He fondly recalled their first meeting when Lazzybwoy, a rising star, visited him upon arriving in Tamale.
The gesture left a lasting impression on Maccasio, who spoke of his admiration for the young artist.
