Majid Michel to run for president in 2028

Ghanaian actor Majid Michel has hinted at a possible future in politics, including running for the presidency.

Speaking on Joy Prime on December 18, 2024, Majid explained that his decision would be fueled by anger over worsening national issues. He sai.

“Whatever you are angry about is your duty to fix. I’m not angry yet because things aren’t too bad, but if they worsen, the responsibility becomes mine.”

The actor also emphasized the need for unity in Ghana’s movie industry and collaboration with Nigeria. He cited the success of *Divine Love*, a Ghana-Nigeria film, as an example of effective teamwork.

Majid urged filmmakers to set aside egos, embrace interdependence, and prioritize collaboration to revitalize Ghana’s film industry. He stressed, “You can never work alone; teamwork is essential.”
