Makeup artist Akosua Mantey presents Guinness World Record certificate to GTA

Ghanaian makeup artist Roselyn Akosua Mantey recently presented her Guinness World Record for the Longest Makeup Application Marathon to the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) on April 7, 2025.

Mantey set the record after five days of non-stop artistry, showcasing Ghana’s growing influence in the global creative industry.

During the presentation, Mantey expressed gratitude to the GTA and the Ghanaian public for their support, emphasizing her pride in representing Ghana on the world stage.

She encouraged young people, especially women, to learn skills and embrace independence as part of their personal and national growth.

In line with her mission, Mantey is offering free makeup training to aspiring beauty professionals.

The achievement was celebrated as a milestone for both Ghana’s creative and tourism sectors, with the GTA highlighting the importance of vocational skills in shaping the country’s future.
