Max TV apologises to Cina Soul over harsh comments on Morning Show

Max TV has issued a formal apology to Ghanaian singer and actress Cina Soul following critical remarks made during its *Max Morning Show* on March 31, 2025.

The backlash erupted after guest actor Big Akwes and the show’s entertainment host made disparaging comments about Cina Soul’s music.

In a statement, Ricky K.A. Anokye, General Manager of IMax Media Group, expressed deep regret, stating the remarks did not reflect the station’s values.

“Max TV unequivocally regrets the incident and apologizes immensely,” he said.

The station promised corrective action and committed to celebrating Cina Soul’s contributions to Ghanaian music more respectfully. Max TV also pledged to improve its content standards and ensure a more positive platform for all artists.
