Ghanaian influencer Adwoa Tee has stirred up social media. She made a bold confession on Season 3 of the Rants, Bants and Confessions podcast.
During a discussion with Efia Odo and other guests, she explained her preference for scammers over traditional workers. She believes scammers offer more time and attention.
Adwoa Tee shared her past experience working a 9-to-5 job at GSE. She noted that many men leave work late, often around 9 or 10 p.m. By the time they get home, they are exhausted.
She finds it hard to connect with busy men. “When he’s at work, you can’t text him,” she said. Replies take too long, and she prefers someone who is available.
That’s when Adwoa Tee made her viral statement: “I wouldn’t even mind dating a scammer—because he’s always home.”
She explained that scammers may be behind screens but are physically present. “He’s just on his phone or laptop. We have time together.”
Her co-panelists reacted quickly to her statement. Efia Odo raised concerns about the ethical risks of dating a scammer. “They’re liars; you wouldn’t know when he’s being real,” she warned.
Adwoa Tee remained confident in her choice. “A scammer gives more than a lawyer,” she asserted.
When asked for clarification, she mentioned dating a lawyer in tech who was stingy. “It wasn’t because of the profession—maybe he was naturally stingy,” she said.
The conversation deepened as other guests pointed out not all scammers are wealthy and not all lawyers are stingy. Still, Adwoa Tee stood firm: “Life doesn’t come without risk… If you want money, take the risk.”
Efia Odo questioned if Adwoa Tee feared illegal activities with scammers. Adwoa responded that if someone cares about you, they won’t involve you in their crimes.
In summary, Adwoa Tee expressed her preference for "Yahoo boys" or scammers due to their relationship dynamics and willingness to spend money on her.
