Mercy Johnson opens up about her struggles and success in Nollywood

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has shared a heartfelt account of her difficult upbringing and rise to fame.

In a recent interview, she opened up about growing up in tough circumstances, revealing that her mother left her and her siblings at a young age, leaving them to live with a harsh stepmother.

"Life was really hard. My dad didn’t help much, and I often felt alone," she recalled. Despite these challenges, Mercy worked odd jobs like being a maid and selling fruits to survive.

Her breakthrough came when she was cast in the movie “The Maid”, a role that mirrored her own life.
