Michael Jackson paved a way for blâck artist on the global stage - Kanye West

Renowned rapper Kanye West has credited Michael Jackson for breaking barriers for Black artists on the global stage.

Speaking in a recent interview, Kanye emphasized how the King of Pop had to fight to get his music videos played because of racial biases.

"I wouldn’t be Kanye West if not for Michael Jackson. He broke down the barriers Black artists faced. They wished he was white, but he fought and won," Kanye stated.

He acknowledged Jackson’s immense influence in shaping the music industry and making it possible for Black artists to reach worldwide success.

Kanye concluded by saying that without Michael Jackson's trailblazing efforts, many artists, including himself, might not have achieved the heights they enjoy today.
