Mike Eghan: Broadcast icon passes

Iconic Ghanaian broadcaster Mike Eghan has died.

He was affectionately known as The Magnificent Emperor.

His celebrated career spanned 60 years as a DJ and radio presenter.

Eghan worked for the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) in Accra, Ghana.

He also worked for the BBC World Service in London, UK.

Reports say he passed away on Thursday morning, June 5, 2025.

The cause of his death is not yet known.
