The Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture has launched the National Heritage Photo Competition 2025.
This competition aims to showcase Ghana’s rich cultural heritage through photography.
It is open to participants from all 16 regions of Ghana.
Minister Abla Dzifa Gomashie stated that the competition promotes cultural heritage.
It also provides a platform for young creatives to display their talents.
Gomashie emphasized that the initiative fosters national pride and appreciation for diversity.
“We are promoting our rich cultural heritage,” she said. “We also provide opportunities for young Ghanaians.”
Participants can submit photographs of heritage sites and cultural products.
These include traditional dress, food, and other cultural elements.
To enter, participants must be 25 years old or younger.
The initiative aims to boost Ghana’s tourism industry and promote cultural exchange.
It is organized in collaboration with UNESCO and various organizations.
Supporting organizations include the Ghana Tourism Authority and National Folklore Board.
Others are the National Commission for Culture and Bureau of Ghana Languages.
The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Creative Arts Agency are also involved.
