Renowned artiste manager Bulldog has alleged that many Ghanaian musicians inflate their streaming numbers using stream farms to create a false image of success.
Speaking on the state of the music industry, he challenged the popular belief that "numbers don't lie," stating that, in today’s industry, numbers can be misleading.
“They used to say numbers don’t lie, but now they are lying. Artists are buying numbers from streaming farms, so those numbers don’t mean anything anymore,” Bulldog said.
He highlighted the disparity between inflated streaming numbers and real-world performances, pointing out how some so-called A-list artistes with millions of followers struggle to attract audiences, especially internationally.
Bulldog’s revelation has sparked debate about authenticity and the true measure of success in the music industry.
