In a joint effort with security agencies, MP Davis Ansah Opoku reassured the public. He stated that the Kwahu region will be peaceful for Easter celebrations.
During a press briefing today, Mr. Opoku confirmed preparations for many visitors. The Eastern Region expects large crowds for the annual Kwahu Easter festivities.
“Kwahu is peaceful, and Kwahu is ready,” he said confidently. “We are excited to host Ghanaians and international visitors.”
Security services, emergency responders, and local authorities are collaborating. They aim to ensure a safe and memorable experience for everyone.
DCOP Isaac Asante, the Eastern North Regional Police Commander, echoed Mr. Opoku’s sentiments. He assured the public of security measures in place for the celebrations.
Over 1,000 police personnel will be deployed across Kwahu. “The region is calm, and we will uphold peace during Easter,” he stated.
The Ghana Ambulance Service announced an emergency response plan. This includes more ambulances and mobile health teams in key areas.
Mr. Opoku highlighted attractions for this year’s festivities. The second edition of the Kwahu Business Forum aims to promote investment opportunities.
He encouraged visitors to participate in this event for local businesses. Additionally, he invited tourists to enjoy the famous paragliding event.
“Kwahu is home to Ghana’s premier paragliding event,” he added. This year promises an even better adventure tourism experience.
As Easter approaches, Kwahu is ready to offer safety and excitement for all visitors.
