Rapper and singer Black Sherif's new album, Iron Boy, is getting great support. Fans and industry veterans are praising it.
Dancehall singer Shatta Wale called the album "a masterpiece." Rapper Sarkodie, who collaborated with Sherif on Country Side, enjoyed listening to it on its release day, April 3.
"The sonics, the writing, the expression, the spiritual depth… Everything is so intense. I love it," said Efya.
Afro-Dancehall singer Stonebwoy praised Sherif for rising from Konongo slums to global success.
Rapper Kwaw Kesse found humor in Sherif calling a critic a "cowboy from Ali Express." He noted that Sherif would cause great trouble with his words.
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has an Afrobeats hit with Sherif called Wotowoto Seasoning. He pointed out that while his album was number one in Nigeria, Black Sherif's was leading in Ghana on Apple Music.
Odumodublvck also mentioned that his tape, The Machine Is Coming, conceptually rhymes with Iron Boy since "iron is used to make machines."
