'NPP must go on a forgiveness tour in Ashanti region' – Afia Pokuaa

Ghanaian broadcaster Afia Pokuaa, known as Vim Lady, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to reconnect with voters in the Ashanti Region after their losses in the 2024 elections.

The traditionally NPP-dominated region saw significant gains by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a social media post, Vim Lady described the results as a wake-up call and suggested the NPP conduct a "forgiveness tour" to rebuild trust.

She emphasized that voter dissatisfaction contributed to the defeat.

The Electoral Commission declared John Dramani Mahama president-elect with 56.55% of the vote, marking a major political shift in Ghana.
