Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of using his intellectual property during their campaigns without his consent.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim on Hitz FM, the “Aso” hitmaker expressed his displeasure, stating that the party used his music to rally support without seeking prior approval.
Kwabena Kwabena emphasized that, as a creative, he values his work and expects the necessary permissions to be sought before use.
“I was never consulted, and this is a violation of my rights as an artist,” he said.
He urged political parties to respect creative works and ensure proper agreements are in place before using music or any form of intellectual property for campaigns or public events.
