Naa Amanua Dodoo of Wulomei's Band reported dead

Veteran musician Naa Amanua Dodoo, the lead singer of the Wulomei band, has passed away.

News of her death surfaced on December 16, 2024, with tributes flooding social media. Rex Omar, former GHAMRO boss and highlife singer, confirmed the sad news with an emotional message.

Naa Amanua was a key figure in Ghana's traditional music scene and led the Wulomei band, founded in 1973. She later formed the Suku Troupe.

In 2018, she was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Her passing has left the nation in mourning, with many remembering her immense contribution to Ghanaian music.
