Ghanaian music legends Daddy Lumba and Gyedu-Blay Ambolley were honored with the Grand Medal at the 2024 National Honours and Awards for their contributions to the creative arts.
Actress Juliet Asante and filmmaker Kwaw Ansah also received accolades, with Ansah earning the Order of the Volta (Member).
Established in 1960 under Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the awards recognize excellence in diverse fields.
This year introduced the Presidential Honours for Distinguished Service, acknowledging efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
President Nana Akufo-Addo commended the resilience of citizens and partners in crisis response.
The event highlighted exceptional individuals across various categories, including the Grand Medal and the Order of the Star of Ghana.
