The leadership of the National Film Authority (NFA) paid a courtesy visit to veteran filmmaker Kwaw Ansah to discuss the future of Ghana’s film industry and gain insights from his vast experience.
Ansah, a pioneer in Ghanaian cinema, emphasized the role of film in preserving national heritage, shaping societal values, and driving economic growth.
NFA Executive Secretary Kafui Danku-Pitcher highlighted the importance of learning from industry legends to advance the Authority’s vision for a globally competitive and sustainable film sector.
Deputy Executive Secretary James Gardiner stressed the need to promote Ghanaian language and culture through audiovisual content, acknowledging Ansah’s contributions to the industry.
The visit marks the start of broader stakeholder consultations, with engagements planned with other industry veterans, including King Ampaw, Rev. Chris Hesse, and Prof. Abequaye.
