New twist in VeryDarkMan’s arrest as Mercy Chinwo faces accusation

The arrest of social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) has sparked controversy. A new theory suggests gospel singer Mercy Chinwo may be involved.

Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop shared his thoughts on social media. He claimed Chinwo reacted negatively to a private message he sent her on Instagram.

Ontop reached out to Chinwo and her husband, asking for VDM’s release. Afterward, he was blocked on Instagram.

“Mercy Chinwo blocked me last night for advocating for VDM,” he wrote. He found it laughable that a minister of God would react this way.

VDM is currently in police custody. His arrest is believed to relate to comments about Chinwo's past dispute with her former record label boss, Eezee Tee.

VDM and the gospel singer are involved in a legal battle over defamation claims.

Law enforcement has not yet issued an official statement about VDM’s arrest. Ontop’s claims have fueled discussions online about freedom of expression and celebrity influence.
