No single artiste can take Ghana to the top, we need collaboration – Edem

Edem Edem

Ghanaian musician Edem has emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration among artistes, stating that no single individual can elevate Ghana’s music industry to global prominence alone.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz, Edem highlighted how teamwork has played a crucial role in Nigeria’s music dominance, citing Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Rema, and Ayra Starr as examples of artistes who collectively propelled their country's success.

“If one man thinks he can be the only one to take Ghana to the world, it won’t work. We need to support each other, collaborate, and push everyone forward,” he stated.

Edem also shared insights into his recent surprise appearance at Stonebwoy’s Boston concert, revealing that the location was just a four-hour drive from where he was in the U.S. for Grammy-related engagements.

“I was in the U.S. for the Grammy weekend and had performed at a pre-party with Gambo. When I saw Stonebwoy’s tour dates, I congratulated him and decided to attend one of his shows. He was thrilled to see me, and we had a great conversation at his hotel,” he recounted.

Edem’s remarks reinforce the need for Ghanaian artistes to foster strong partnerships to enhance the country’s global presence in the music industry.
