OB Amponsah responds to Napo's threat to send lawyers after him over comedy show

OB Amponsah Responds to Mathew Opoku Prempeh's Legal Threat

OB Amponsah has reacted to a legal threat from Mathew Opoku Prempeh. Napo, as he is known, threatened to send lawyers after OB over comments made during a comedy show.

The comedian shared a graphic of Napo's threats on social media. He encouraged his fans to stream the comedy show online. Many followers found humor in OB's response.

Napo served as the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024. He acknowledged seeing OB’s performance and noted that his name was used throughout the show. While he appreciated the publicity, he considered legal action for revenue sharing.

The performance occurred at Bukom Boxing Arena on December 21, 2024. OB joked about some of Napo’s controversial election campaign comments. One highlight included referencing Napo’s statement comparing President Akufo-Addo’s legacy to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s.

Napo claimed that since his name helped fill venues, he deserved part of the proceeds. He stated that his lawyers would contact OB regarding this matter.

In response, OB posted a screenshot of the threat online. Instead of being angry, he urged followers to keep streaming the performance on YouTube. He provided a link and suggested they watch so both could benefit financially.

Fans reacted positively to OB's humorous take on the situation. Comments included praise for turning a legal threat into entertainment.

Another comedian, Funny Face, also made headlines recently. He impressed fans by modeling at the AshantiFest Fashion Show on April 13, 2025. Videos from the event showed guests excitedly cheering for him and Kwaku Manu.

This event highlighted Funny Face's positive journey after facing mental health challenges.
