Omar Sterling is my all-time favourite Ghanaian rapper - Gyakie

Ghanaian Afro-fusion artist Gyakie has named her favorite rapper.

She chose Paedae, also known as Omar Sterling, from R2Bees.

In an interview with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, she explained why.

“My favorite rapper in Ghana is Omar Sterling of R2Bees,” she said. “He’s always been my all-time favorite.”

Gyakie praised Omar Sterling for his poetic style.

She said his rap is unique and engaging.

“He tells stories about his life and current events,” she noted.

His lyrics are well-crafted and easy to understand, which makes her happy.

“I think he’s a very good writer and storyteller,” she added.

Although Gyakie is not a rapper, she loves the genre.

She tries to incorporate rap into her music occasionally.

Her musical style is eclectic due to diverse influences growing up.

Gyakie recently released a new song titled ‘Sankofa.’

This comes ahead of her upcoming debut album, ‘After Midnight.’
