The young man went viral on TikTok. He claimed to be Obi Cubana’s next of kin. This sparked speculation and commentary online.

On Instagram, Lush Eby addressed the situation in a cryptic post. She highlighted how social media rewrites personal stories.

“Only on social media do you encounter people sharing your life story,” she wrote. “Only here will you learn about your own history from strangers.”

She criticized those who blame women for drama.

“And only on social media will you see people blaming wives and mothers,” she added, expressing disbelief and amusement.

While she didn’t name anyone, her tone suggested a response to the “next-of-kin” claims.

Lush then shifted focus to her husband’s 50th birthday celebrations.

“I’m still soaking in the celebration of the #50for50 birthday party!” she wrote, using Obi Cubana’s traditional title.

She mentioned that April is dedicated to him.

“I curated 50 Igbo titles that describe @obi_cubana,” she said with a laugh. “It wasn’t easy.”
