Peter Okoye, one half of the Nigerian duo P-Square, has expressed feelings of betrayal. He feels let down by his twin brother Paul and older brother Jude.
On Instagram, Peter shared insights about family manipulation. He warned followers that family members can betray them unexpectedly.
He emphasized the importance of a healthy family dynamic. Peter now values his "sanity" above all else, including family ties.
“Don’t let ‘family’ drown you in silence,” he wrote. “I did for over 20 years, and it almost cost me everything.”
He believes love should not manipulate and loyalty should not betray. “Family that steals from you isn’t family at all,” he added.
Peter also stated that real family does not drain or shame you. “My sanity matters; my mental health is a priority,” he said.
If something harms his mental health, he considers it too costly.
Currently, Peter is testifying against Jude in a money laundering case. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is prosecuting Jude and Northside Music Limited.
They face charges related to laundering N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. On April 15, 2025, Peter testified before Justice Alexander Owoeye in Lagos.
In late 2022, Peter learned that Jude had created a company called Northside Music Limited. This company was similar to Northside Entertainment Ltd., which managed P-Square in the past.
Peter claims Jude and Paul used this company to launder P-Square’s money.
