Pastor Love Hammond, a Ghanaian pastor, was sent back to Nsawam Medium Security Prison after failing to meet GHC2 million bail conditions set by the Accra High Court.
Despite being granted bail on November 15, 2024, he couldn’t provide two sureties with verifiable assets or surrender his passport as required.
Pastor Love is appealing his four-year sentence for theft and dishonesty linked to selling a friend’s car without consent in 2016.
His lawyer remains hopeful about meeting the bail terms.
The case, involving longstanding legal disputes, has drawn mixed public reactions, with some viewing it as justice served and others expressing sympathy.
