Prophet Dr. Ogyaba has sparked debate with his statement that pastors who do not seek additional employment outside their ministry are often the ones who depend heavily on church funds.
In a recent interview, he explained that while the church plays a crucial role in supporting spiritual leaders, pastors should aim for self-sufficiency.
"Ministry is a calling, but we must also be responsible and contribute to our own well-being," he stated.
Prophet Dr. Ogyaba emphasized the importance of diversifying income sources to avoid financial dependence on congregations.
His comments have drawn mixed reactions, with some applauding his perspective on financial independence, while others defend the idea that pastors should focus solely on spiritual duties without the pressure of additional jobs.
