Ghanaian actress and socialite Efia Odo has joined the debate on body improvements. She argues that these practices do not erase insecurities.

On April 14, 2025, she posted on X. Efia encouraged women to seek validation from Christ instead of body enhancements.

“Plastic surgery doesn’t fix insecurities,” she wrote. “You must be self-validated within.” She emphasized that nothing outside can save you except being in Christ.

Her post follows actress Yvonne Nelson's comments against cosmetic surgeries. Yvonne stated that women who undergo such procedures often lack self-confidence.

“I feel that it is a mental thing,” she said. Yvonne also warned young girls about the negative effects of body enhancements.

“I do not expect any of you to do that,” she advised. “Once you alter one part, you'll want to change more.”
