Police arrest key suspect in connection with robbery, killing of MoMo vendors in A/R

The Ghana Police Service has arrested another suspect in a robbery case. This suspect is linked to the killing of a Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

On Thursday, the police announced that Martin Amoah, also known as “Baba Macho,” was captured. He was apprehended on March 27 during an operation in Kpone, Greater Accra Region.

Amoah had been on the Ashanti Regional Police's wanted list. His arrest brings the total number of suspects arrested to four.

The police view this arrest as a significant breakthrough. They are investigating the robbery and murder of MoMo vendors in the region.

Kumasi has seen a rise in violent attacks on MoMo vendors recently. Three vendors have lost their lives in separate incidents.

This trend has caused fear and panic among residents. Two of the killings involved firearms, heightening concerns for safety.

Law enforcement officials assure the public they will bring all perpetrators to justice. The arrested suspects remain in custody and will face charges soon related to robbery and murder.
