Praye Tietia on ‘traumatising’ 8-year wait for children with wife Selly

Music star Steven Fiawoo, known as Praye Tietia, has shared his family journey. He is part of the Hiplife trio Praye. This year marks 10 years of marriage to his wife, Selly Galley. They waited eight years before having children.

During this time, he worried more about his wife than himself. He noted that women face pressure from family when there are no children in a marriage. The trolling on social media was particularly upsetting for him.

He said it was traumatic to see what she went through. However, they felt fulfilled when God answered their prayers with twin toddlers born in 2024.

Praye Tietia dismissed any thoughts of having a child outside marriage due to his wife's struggles. He believes that "God has a time for everything."

He mentioned that delivering their babies in America had a purpose. They lost one baby at eight months and experienced many miscarriages before this success.

Tietia fondly recalled how he cared for his wife during her pregnancy. He aimed to protect the babies she was carrying.

He expressed gratitude to their church, pastors, friends, fans, and especially their understanding family during these challenging times.
