Ghanaian actor Fiifi Coleman launched the Private Actors Welfare Scheme in Accra on January 4, 2025, in collaboration with Hollard Insurance.
The initiative addresses financial challenges faced by actors, particularly during old age or illness, offering financial security, dignity, and hope.
Coleman emphasized the scheme's goal of ensuring actors can retire with pride, free from dependency on charity.
Hollard Insurance’s Eunice Etornam Owusu explained the scheme’s modalities.
The launch, held at Accra Marriott Hotel, also served as a dinner attended by notable actors like Pascaline Edwards, Fred Amugi, and Naa Ashorkor.
Celebrated playwright Dr. Mohammed Ben-Abdallah urged actors to embrace the initiative for a secure future.
