Today, February 8, 2025, marks exactly seven years since the heartbreaking death of Ghanaian music sensation Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, widely known as Ebony Reigns.

The talented singer lost her life in a fatal car accident on February 8, 2018, while returning to Accra from Sunyani after visiting her mother.

Her vehicle collided with a bus, claiming her life along with two others. She was only 20 years old—just eight days shy of her 21st birthday.

Ebony Reigns was a revolutionary force in the Ghanaian music industry. With her fearless personality and hit songs like “Maame Hwɛ” “Sponsor” and Hustle, she won the hearts of many.
