Ghanaian socialite Irene Adusei Sarkodie is preparing for her father's funeral. A video has surfaced online showing her wealth as the observance approaches. She is known as Maame Gold and runs a shop in East Legon.

Irene's father, Nana Adusei Sarkodie, passed away on March 13, 2025. He was a former MP with the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The one-week observance will take place on June 19, 2025.

Nana Adusei Sarkodie was also the chief of Buruku Ahodwo in the Ashanti Region. He served as an MP from 1997 to 2005. Besides politics, he led companies like Ghana Airways and Bonte Gold Mines.

Irene shared a heartfelt tribute for her father's birthday on April 17. She expressed how much she misses him and cherishes his memory. The one-week observance will be held at Officers Mess Ridge Park in Kumasi.

In a recent video, Maame Gold wore mourning attire while counting bundles of dollars. Many netizens have expressed their condolences to her during this difficult time.
