Ruth McArdle, former vocalist for Belgian electronic group Lords of Acid, has passed away.
Known as Lady Galore or Cherrie Blue, McArdle was celebrated for her dynamic presence and contributions during the band’s iconic *Voodoo-U* era. Lords of Acid announced her passing, highlighting her unforgettable energy and lasting impact.
Co-founder Praga Khan shared a heartfelt tribute, remembering her as the first LOA vocalist to tour the U.S. during the 1995 Sextasy Ball tour.
After leaving the group in 1995, McArdle pursued a solo career, later joining the Bomb Gang Girlz in 1998 under Buzz McCoy’s production, releasing music as Cherrie Blue.
