Ghanaian musician Dr. Cryme has shared his inspiration for running as president of the Students Representative Council (SRC) at Methodist University of Ghana.
Darlington Kwesi Agyekum, the President-Elect, cited Samini and Guru as his role models. He admired their successful elections at GIMPA and the University of Ghana.
In an interview with mynewsgh.com, he said, “Samini’s victory at GIMPA inspired me to contest and win.”
He learned about Samini's SRC win through social media. However, he was actively involved in Guru's campaign at Legon.
“I helped share his message with students in the halls,” he explained. After Guru's success, he thought, “If my brother can achieve this, why can't I?” This motivated him to run for office.
