Afrobeats artist Olivetheboy recently discussed his collaboration with rapper Sarkodie. He featured Sarkodie on the song "Bend" from his new EP, *Out of the Blue*.
In an interview on Joy Prime’s *Prime Morning* show, he explained their bond. He praised Sarkodie, saying no one could have done it better.
“Sarkodie has supported me and my work since my Asylum days,” he said. After writing the first verse for "Bend," he wanted a rapper to join him. “Nobody could have done it better than Sarkodie,” he added.
They worked together in the studio on several songs. However, Olivetheboy chose "Bend" for the EP.
He hinted at future collaborations with Sarkodie as well.
Olivetheboy also shared that most songs on his EP reflect his love life. He gained major recognition in 2023 with his hit song "Goodsin." This song earned him nominations at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Although he did not win last year, he is hopeful this time. He has been nominated for Most Popular Song of the Year for "Asylum." He is also up for Best Afrobeats/Afro Pop Artist of the Year.
Olivetheboy encouraged Ghanaians to vote and support him in these categories.
His new EP, *Out of the Blue*, features singles like "Trees," "One Bebe," "Tattoo," and "Design." He has collaborated with artists such as Sarkodie, Qing Madi, and Nigerian Mayorkun on tracks like "Bend," "Survivor," and "A Fuul."
