Deborah Seyram Adablah Reports to Police for 45-Day Jail Term
Deborah Seyram Adablah, a former National Service Personnel at First Atlantic Bank, turned herself in to the Ghana Police. She received a 45-day jail term after a bench warrant was issued for her arrest on May 5, 2025.
The warrant followed her disparaging comments about the judge in her case. These comments were made during a dispute with Ernest Kwasi Nimako, the former CFO of First Atlantic Bank. Videos of her remarks circulated on social media and caught the judge's attention.
On May 6, 2025, she voluntarily appeared at the Accra High Court. She did this without waiting for police to arrest her. Afterward, she went live on TikTok to show her followers that she was turning herself in.
In her TikTok Live video, Seyram asked police to call someone about her pet dog. She expressed concern for her dog's well-being while she would be in jail for 45 days.
Social media users reacted to Seyram's video with mixed opinions. One user praised her bravery: "Seyram is really born bold." Another suggested she should have moved on after the court judgment instead of continuing to discuss it. Some felt the punishment was too harsh for a young person trying to survive.
Earlier, Seyram posted a video while heading to court in an Uber. Despite the legal issues, she appeared calm and received support from many fans online. They flooded the comments section with encouraging messages during this challenging time.
