Shatta Wale ‘catalysed’ the success of ‘Excellent’ hit – Kojo Blak

Singer Kojo Blak credits Shatta Wale for his song's popularity. He spoke about this on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo show with Nana Romeo.

Shatta Wale mentioned Kojo Blak and played his song during live streams. This exposure helped Kojo gain a strong fanbase. “If someone like Shatta Wale loves a song, fans want to know the artist,” he said.

Kojo Blak has not met Shatta Wale in person yet. However, he communicates with him over the phone. “The energy and warm reception from Ghanaian legends is remarkable!” he expressed happily.

Kojo Blak released Excellent in December 2024, and it went viral in early 2025. In February, Shatta Wale highlighted Kojo Blak on TikTok Live, playing Excellent and praising it.

On May 10, Kojo Blak performed Excellent solo at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs). The original version featured Kelvynboy.
