Shatta Wale once wanted to sign King Paluta – Andy Dosty reveals

Veteran broadcaster Andy Dosty has revealed that Shatta Wale once made serious moves to sign rapper King Paluta, long before he gained mainstream recognition.

Speaking on the Asetena Pa Podcast, Andy disclosed that the dancehall star was captivated by King Paluta’s talent after their 2020 collaboration on Ahodwo Las Vegas.

He shared that he and Shatta Wale held lengthy discussions about developing the Kumasi-based rapper’s brand and the financial commitment required. Surprisingly, King Paluta was unaware of these behind-the-scenes efforts.

Despite a rocky relationship with Shatta Wale, Andy Dosty still played a key role in linking the two for their later collaboration on Adiepena.

Today, King Paluta is a major force in Ghanaian music and a top contender for Artiste of the Year at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
