Shatta Wale reacts to rumours Black Sherif dissed him on Where Dem Boyz

Dancehall and Afrobeats star Shatta Wale has responded to rumors. These rumors claim that rap star Black Sherif dissed him in his new song, "Where Dem Boyz." This track is the 10th on Sherif's second album, "Iron Boy."

In the song, Sherif criticizes someone he once called a "messiah." He says this person has become bitter and cries over gatekeepers. However, he accuses them of doing the same things they denounce. Sherif also mentions that this individual preaches unity but spreads hate.

Some fans believe these lines refer to Shatta Wale. In 2024, Wale had issues with Black Sherif's wardrobe choices. Later, when Sherif shared an image of Wale dressed poorly, Wale threatened his career.

Surprisingly, Shatta Wale did not address the rumors directly. Instead, he congratulated Sherif on his new album release. He noted that since he wasn't named in the song, he wouldn't see it as an attack.

Wale praised "Iron Boy" as a masterpiece from a "lil one." He encouraged Sherif to focus on making money instead. He even shared North American tour dates for Black Sherif after the album release.

On X, Shatta Wale wrote: “If you follow Ghanaians, you might think God is your enemy [laughing and crying emojis]. Congrats on this masterpiece lil one! Go hard and don’t stop.”

He added: “I never heard you say Shatta Wale this or that. But those unemployed Ghanaians are trying to push an agenda [laughing and crying emojis]. I am too bank-minded for nonsense.”

Wale concluded with: “Let’s make the kwacha hard in their faces [laughing and crying emojis]. Who loses now? [laughing and crying emojis]. #IronBoyAlbum [explosion emojis].”

His reaction surprised many social media users. They expected him to be offended by the song's alleged meaning. When he dismissed their interpretation, some questioned why he was acting like a biblical angel Gabriel after calling himself a formidable principality.
