Cape Coast is alive with color and culture as the 2024 Fetu Afahye Festival, marking its 60th edition, is celebrated in grand style.
The city is packed with visitors gathering at Victoria Park, where the Paramount Chief, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, and his chiefs are joined by special guest Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The festival theme, "Celebrating the city of firsts; our people, our future," honors Cape Coast's history.
Highlights include the display of chiefly umbrellas and the "Orange Friday" festivities, promoting unity and featuring re-enactments from the Gold Coast slave trade era.
