Trey Songz has been ordered to pay over $11 million in a civil battery case linked to a 2021 incident involving Maryland Capitol police officer Tyrelle Dunn.
Dunn alleged he was injured while intervening in an altercation in Songz’s Las Vegas hotel room, where Dunn’s wife claimed she was being held against her will.
The altercation reportedly left Dunn with severe injuries, including fractured eye sockets.
Although Songz was cleared of criminal charges, Dunn pursued a civil case, leading to a default judgment after Songz failed to respond.
The ruling compensates Dunn for medical expenses, pain, and punitive damages.
This adds to ongoing legal challenges for Songz, who has not commented or indicated plans to appeal.
