Cwesi Oteng, a gospel musician, recently shared his experiences in the industry. He faced attacks from fellow musicians when he first emerged.

In an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes, he discussed his challenges. His unique style and sudden rise caused envy among colleagues. Some feared he would overshadow their fame.

Cwesi claimed that some industry players struggled to understand his music. They allegedly took his debut album to cemeteries to block his success. His popular songs included "I Win" and "God Dey Bless Me."

He described entering gospel music as bringing a fresh idea. This led to many doors opening for the genre but also invited spiritual attacks. Church members and other musicians criticized him for changing the scene.

These challenges affected his popularity in Ghanaian music. It became harder for his recent tracks to gain attention. As a result, Cwesi felt his name was fading among fans.

To overcome these obstacles, he decided to re-energize himself. He believes in taking time off to focus on personal growth. “Stardom is really my thing,” he said about stepping back when needed.

Cwesi has now released a new song titled "Favour." He hopes it reminds believers of their blessings and encourages them to declare it daily.
