Some of Afenyo-Markin's questions during the vetting of Dzifa Gomashie were totally unnecessary - Akofa Edjeani

Veteran actress Akofa Edjeani has expressed disappointment over some of the questions posed by Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin during the vetting of Dzifa Gomashie, Minister-Designate for Tourism, Arts, and Culture.

Speaking in an interview on TV3, Akofa described certain questions as irrelevant and unprofessional, questioning their connection to Dzifa’s qualifications and vision for the sector.

“Some of the questions didn’t focus on her competence or plans for tourism, arts, and culture. They seemed totally unnecessary,” Akofa remarked.

Dzifa Gomashie, an accomplished actress and former Deputy Minister, faced the Appointments Committee on January 22, 2025.

Akofa Edjeani emphasized the need for vetting processes to prioritize relevant inquiries that promote constructive discussions about national development.
