#TGMA26: King Promise crowned Artiste of The Year

Afrobeat musician King Promise has won Artiste of the Year. He received this honor at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

King Promise faced tough competition from several artists. These included Stonebwoy, Black Sheriff, and Joe Mettle. This is his first time winning this prestigious award.

The event was hosted by Naa Ashorkor Mensah Doku. AJ Akuoko and Forster Romanus also supported the hosting duties.

Best Male Vocal Performance:

Best Female Vocal Performance:

Best Hip-Hop Song:
"Holy Ghost" – Kweku Smoke *WINNER*

Collaboration of The Year:
"Lomo Lomo" – KiDi ft Black Sherif *WINNER*

International Collaboration of The Year:
"The Doing of the Lord" – Diana Hamilton ft Mercy Chinwo *WINNER*

Best AfroPop Song:
"Paris" – King Promise *WINNER*

Best Traditional Gospel:
"Watch Me” - Empress Gifty *WINNER*

Best Afrobeat Song:
"Asylum” - OlivetheBoy *WINNER*

King Promise also won Best Afrobeats/AfroPop Artiste.

In addition, he was nominated for Artiste of the Year, alongside other notable artists.

Beeztrap KOTM won Best New Artiste.

Kweku Smoke took home Best Hiplife/HipHop Artiste.

The award for Best Rap Performance went to "Holy Ghost” by Kweku Smoke.

For Best Highlife Song, "Aseda” by King Paluta was recognized as a winner.

Fameye won Best Highlife Artist.

In the category for Songwriter of the Year, Kofi Kinaata's "Saman” won.

Team Eternity Ghana was awarded Best Group.

Stonebwoy received recognition as Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste.

Finally, "Aseda” by King Paluta was named Telecel’s Most Popular Song.
