TGMAs 2025: Red carpet delay used to buy time to begin main event – Robert Klah

Robert Klah is the Head of Communications at Charterhouse. He explained the delay at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). The red carpet event was prolonged to manage the start time.

“We wanted to start between 9:15 and 9:30,” he said. “But we ended up starting at 10.” They needed more time to accommodate guests.

“Technically, we were ready to begin,” he continued. “We were waiting for everyone to arrive.” It’s important that presenters and winners are present before announcing awards.

“You want two or three acts ready to go,” he added. This ensures a smooth transition between performances. If key people are missing, it complicates the start.
