Tell Kofi B I’ll join you soon – Dada KD’s 2020 message to late Bernard Nyarko resurfaces after his own death

Ghana’s Highlife music community is mourning the loss of Dada KD.

The veteran musician, whose real name was Dada Kwaku Duah, passed away last night. The cause of his death is still unclear.

Tributes are pouring in from fans and industry colleagues. An old statement from Dada KD has resurfaced, highlighting his emotional pain.

In 2020, he expressed heartbreak over the deaths of Bishop Bernard Nyarko and Kofi B. He shared his feelings on social media about the industry's losses.

He wrote: “May your gentle soul find you a perfect place to keep you Bishop Bernard Nyarko. My regards to Kofi B and tell him it won’t be long I’ll join you all too soon; our industry sucks.”

This statement now feels haunting after his own passing. It shows his disillusionment with an industry he felt had failed him.

Social media is filled with posts from fans and fellow musicians expressing shock and sorrow. Gospel artist Bro. Sammy confirmed Dada KD's death as well.

His passing marks another significant loss for Ghana’s entertainment scene.
